Safe Space Cumberland exists to advocate, empower, and support the LGBTQIA2S+ community in Allegany County, Maryland. Your donation will directly impact the following programs and initiatives:

• Emergency Housing & Support: For those in immediate need of shelter or facing unsafe living conditions.

• Mental Health & Wellness Programs: Providing therapy, counseling, and peer support for mental health and addiction recovery.

• Legal Advocacy: Assisting with legal challenges, including discrimination, housing, and family law issues.

• Community Outreach & Education: Ensuring the community is informed and that LGBTQIA2+ people have access to the resources they need to thrive.

• Support for Families: Helping parents and loved ones of LGBTQIA2+ individuals understand how to best support and advocate for their children.

Every donation makes an impact. A $50 donation provides a week of safe housing for someone in need. A $200 gift funds 3 therapy sessions for an individual struggling with mental health or addiction issues.

Your one-time gift will have a lasting impact. With a single donation, you can help support a range of services that will improve the lives of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals in our community.

• $25 - Provides a week’s worth of food and basic necessities for someone in crisis.

• $50 - Covers a counseling session for an individual in need of mental health support.

• $100 - Helps provide emergency shelter for someone in need for 3 days.

• $500 - Supports one month of services for an individual, including counseling, housing, and legal advocacy.

2. Monthly Giving

Become a Monthly Sustainer and provide ongoing support to those who need it most. Monthly donations allow us to plan ahead and ensure continuous services to the community.

• $10/month - Helps fund our outreach and educational programs.

• $25/month - Supports weekly support groups for individuals.

• $50/month - Provides critical resources for families in crisis.

3. In-Kind Donations

Not everyone can donate money, but we still need your help! We gratefully accept in-kind donations, such as:

• Toiletries, hygiene products, and personal care items

• New or gently used clothing, especially for individuals in need of professional attire

• Food and meal prep supplies for our emergency housing program

• Office supplies and event materials for community outreach
